A ‘NATURAL’ FAKE TAN

A ‘NATURAL’ FAKE TAN

Summer is the season when we all love our skin to have that golden glow, yet no one wants the sun damage that goes hand in hand with a ‘real’ tan. Thats when a fake tanning cream comes in handy, but I am never a fan of that unreal orange tint & hideous (not to mention obvious) smell that seems to hang around for days after you have applied it.

There are load of good fake tanning formulations on the market & I have had success in the past with Loreal Sublime Bronze & St Tropez Self Tan. Both these products have a natural tint upon application & provide a deep tan within hours.

My latest discovery is Trilogys ‘Instant Bronzing Gel’. Like all Trilogy skincare, this tanning gel is 100% natural, so when you are liberally slathering on your fake tan, its nice to know that it dosent include loads of chemicals. It has a light tint upon application as well as a hint of mineral glitter, so if you decide that you need that extra colour for an evening out, you dont have to wait long to see the results. It includes antioxidant rich vitamin E, which helps fight free radicals in the atmosphere & it doesnt have that awful fake tan smell either. When I first applied it I thought it smelt like chocolate, then the smell dissipated & the tan slowly developed a few hours later. This product does not produce a deep colour, but if you apply it daily over a three day period it builds up & the resulting tan is perfect. RRP $35.95 from all Health 2000 stores.

Hot Tip- No matter what fake tanner you use the secret is to exfoliate & moisturize your skin really well before you apply the product & this will help to avoid streaks. Happy tanning! Nikki
