I know Im not the only person suffering from dry lips at the moment, as it always happens when the weather gets chilly. I have very sensitive skin & when my lips get dry it almost turns into eczema & any type of lipgloss is irritating. Im actually allergic to lipstick (a terrible burden to carry as a makeup artist!) & many of the coloured glosses also spark an allergy, particularly brands with lots of pigment like MAC. I can use Jane Iredale PURE GLOSS as its very calming to the lips & recently I have found that BOBBI BROWN GLOSS is also a great formulation for me, so if you have this same problem do head to the Bobbi counter as they have loads of shades to choose from.

So back to the dry lip problem…. last week nothing was helping me & I had run out of my favorite balm, LUCAS PAW PAW. I was reminded of this while I was at Superette in Ponsonby, as they had on display a big glass bowl full of that familiar red tube, so I grabbed one for a mere $15. Because my lips were cracked & itchy (so glamorous..!) I used Lucas Paw Paw at least four or five times a day & after a week the results are quite noticeable; all the eczema is gone & my lips are now smooth & hydrated.

This proves that Lucas Paw Paw really does work. Its also good for minor burns & scalds, sunburn, nappy rash, insect bites & chafing. Its also one of the few ointments that I have used on dry eczema that doesnt irritate. I use it in my makeup kit for anything that I used to use vaseline for, which means it is an all round multifunctional product & of course its perfect for kids. Grab it at most pharmacies or the odd trendy boutique for around $15… probably the cheapest beauty product you will ever find!
