There is never a better time to start treating your skin with kindness than in the middle of winter. I really hate what the cold weather does to my face as all my summer glow disappears only to be replaced with a certain dullness combined with a dry sensitivity. This is when an exfoliant can make a difference & having recently run out of my current brand I called the good people at Health 2000 & they sent me Trilogy Gentle Face Exfoliant to try.

Because my skin is sensitive I have had a few bad experiences with exfoliants that feel like industrial strength sandpaper, so Im always weary to try a new one. If you also have this problem I recommend trying the product first on the inside of your arm, as this will indicate how strong it is. When I tried Trilogys exfoliant I knew instantly that it was gentle, as the consistency is smooth & creamy with only a touch of graininess.

Trilogys exfoliant is full of all sorts of goodies, that true to the brand are all nice & natural. Active honey enzymes & camellia oil help to lift the dead skin cells while non abrasive jojoba ‘microspheres’ do the job of buffing & removing. It also contains Evening Primrose, Sweet Almond & Rosehip oils, so you can be guaranteed there are no chemical nasties inside this handy tube.

The best way to use a facial exfoliant is in the shower, as your skin needs to be warm & damp for the product to emulsify & be effective. Apply it in circular movements & concentrate on the nose, chin & forehead as these are the areas most prone to blemishes. Either rinse off with warm water or gently wipe with a soft face cloth.

After exfoliation your skin will feel super smooth & ready for a good moisturizer, so why not stick with Trilogy & try out their new Rosapene Night cream. This antioxidant rich cream is truly luxurious, with a main ingredient of organic Rosehip oil to help repair your skin overnight.
