Osmosis Love

I have been in love with Osmosis pressed mineral base for quite some time now, so much so that many of my other powders & bases have taken a back seat to this far superior product! If you have never tried Mineral makeup before, then Osmosis is a great brand to start with. A quick dusting of these pure minerals will leave your skin glowing with enough coverage to disguise uneven skin tone, red veins & pigmentation.

Why do I love it so much? Its easy to use, gives a fantastic flawless finish, lets your skin breathe & comes in a beautiful colour range with a tone to suits everyone (from the pales white through to the deepest brown…) My one small niggle with Osmosis powder was the packaging; bulky & heavy with a lid that had a tendency to break. As with many American products, it can take awhile for their packaging to start looking & feeling fashionable- thats why its important not to judge a book by its cover, as often a dated looking compact can contain a miracle product. A few days ago the lovely Kay Roby (who is in charge of all things Osmosis in New Zealand) was happy to send me some new Osmosis minerals with fabulous new packaging. The compact is at least half the weight of its predecessor, is round rather than square (which makes it much smaller in your purse) & its also looks so much more chic & simple with its shiny bronzy case… RRP $88, plus when you run out you can buy a refill which makes it more economical. You can head to New Zealands  Osmosis website  & buy online, or else take a look at their Stockists list to find a store near you that sells it.

One more Osmosis product I must tell you about is their new Hydralift Firming Gel Mask. I really wanted to try this new product as I kept hearing about how it not only soothes & hydrates the skin, but it also plumps, firms, tightens, calms, soothes & heals…. what a package!! I only just tried this mask this morning & after doing a test patch on my jawline to check for an allergic reaction (there wasnt one) I applied it liberally to my cleansed face. It felt fresh & cool on my skin with a slight astringent prickle that only lasted a moment. After about ten minutes I gently removed it with warm water & wow….. my skin looks & feels amazing! I can actually see how it has been deeply hydrated & literally ‘plumped up’. This mask contains all sorts of goodies & boasts cucumber extract for the cooling effect & aloe vera for calming. All these things totally agreed with my skin so Im going to make this fabulous new mask into a weekly (or bi weekly) ritual. You can buy the new Hydralift Firming Mask HERE or at your nearest Osmosis stockist. I believe they are all sold out at the moment but are awaiting new stock as I write…. Thanks Osmosis, keep up the good work x
