If you are a fan of aqua blues & pinky purples, you have to check out Estee Lauders colourful new eyeshadow palates. When I received these gorgeous products the first word that sprang to mind was ‘Luxury’… Lauders new glamorous gold packaging is sleek & modern (no more of the ‘old lady’ vibe) & once you open up this stunning palate the colours inside do not disappoint.

On a recent shoot in Vanuatu for Bride & Groom magazine I used the ‘Surreal Violet’ palate on our lovely model Dayna Marks. (this look will be gracing the cover of that issue arriving in mid october) What I like most about this collection of colours is the versatility. There is a soft shimmery pink, perfect to use all over the eye as a base colour or simply on its own with a touch of masacara. Then there are two gorgeous purples, one being a soft pinky mauve- great to apply in the crease of the eye to create contour- & the other being a rich opalescent violet, the perfect colour to instantly brighten up your eyes. For extra depth you can then apply the deep matte aubergine shadow, or if you want your eyes more natural, there is a soft rosy taupe. I love the quality of Lauders new shadows, as the mill is super fine, yet they dont drip & the pigment is really intense & true to colour. Purple eyeshadow is particularly flattering if you have olive skin & green eyes, as it suits warm skin tones & brings out the eye colour.

There is also a ‘Blue Dahlia’ palate that Im yet to experiment with, but this looks equally exciting. It contains a sparkly white & a shimmery taupe, along with a navy & aqua blue, plus a matte black to create a sultry smokey effect… perfect for party eyes. Check them out on your next trip to Smith & Caughey!
