Healthy Lipsticks from Antipodes
This week I had the pleasure of attending a wonderfully glamorous breakfast hosted by the New Zealand Skincare company Antipodes to celebrate the launch of their brand new range of lipsticks.
I personally have an allergy to regular lipsticks, which is why you usually see me wearing a clear gloss. Back in the day when I was desperate to wear bright colours I always suffered irritation around my lips- particularly if the shade was a red or pink. I eventually realized I was allergic to the strong pigment as well as the petroleum which is a major ingredient in most lipsticks. Over the years I have experimented with lipsticks that have more of a natural base & had success (no allergy!) so Im always on the lookout for chemical-free lip products.
Antipodes Moisture Boost Natural Lipsticks are so healthy they are almost edible…. every gorgeous tube of goodness contains delicious ingredients like Avocado, Argan & Evening Primrose Oils, Shea Butter, Beeswax & Jojoba Oil. They all work together to create a lipstick that is rich & hydrating, with deep, intense colour & amazing longevity… Plus they are certified Vegetarian & you wont find any Antipodes product that is tested on animals. Tick tick to all of that!
The new range of Antipodes Lipsticks that was shown to all the beauty editors & bloggers this week contains a whole array of exciting new colours. Whats different is that they are all inspired by the beauty of New Zealand nature & each lippy has a name that evokes the place that inspires the shade… For instance ‘West Coast Sunset’ is a smokey red-orange, ‘Queenstown Hot Chocolate’ is a decadent brown, ‘Oriental Bay Plum’ is a deep dark berry shade & ‘Golden Bay Nectar’ is a fresh honey beige (my personal choice as I dont wear brights any more!) Each lipstick is packaged in a 100% biodegradable box printed with the Antipodes signature wallpaper pattern, colour coded to the shade inside…. I love this detail.
You can buy Antipodes Healthy Lipsticks directly from their Website for only $37 or head to your nearest stockist . If your lips are extra dry this summer, dont forget about Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Lip Conditioner which is lovely on its own or under lipstick for added moisture.
