Even better refresh
Clinique have taken their famous foundation to a whole new level with their latest star product, Even better Refresh Hydrating & repairing makeup. This is a full coverage, weightless foundation that provides skin plumping hydration while actively working on the complexion to improve smoothness. Needless to say this is the perfect base for the winter months when your skin tends to look pale & lifeless & generally in need of the warmth of a great foundation!
Even Better Refresh is quite different to Cliniques other popular foundation Even Better Glow. The later is light & dewy therefore ideal for the summer months when you need merely a hint of coverage, while Cliniques new baby provides a flawless, full coverage that literally makes your skin look airbrushed. I have a range of colours in my kit & have been loving the way it instantly transforms skin into the perfect palette. Being the ball season I have had the opportunity to try it on a few makeup-mad teenage girls who want nothing more than a full face of foundation. Even though this is not my usual style (I love a very light base!) I have been more than happy to use Even Better Refresh as the results are just so good- never heavy or cakey, just smooth & hydrated.
Its also very build-able in texture so if you want the coverage to be lighter the liquid texture of the foundation allows you to apply it lightly over moisturized skin for a more natural result. You can also use it as a concealer or an eye shadow primer & its fantastic for covering red veins or pigmentation. For a more complete coverage dust some loose powder over the top to provide a matte finish which looks great if you choose a rich lip colour or a smokey eye for added drama.
As always with Clinique the colour range is incredible, with lots of mid toned beiges that are so easy to match up with your skin. Remember when you choose a foundation, always test it on you cheek or jaw, never your hand as you can be sure of a mis-match this way. I like to recommend that you have more than one foundation in your personal kit…. a light shade for winter & a warmer tone for summer- then you can mix the two together between seasons.
